More pictures
I realized that we didn't have any pictures of ourselves from our trip. So here is us at Cave Springs. We both wore flip-flops and thought we were just going to wade in the water, but we ended up going on a 3 mile hike infested with mosquitoes. Our smiles are totally fake. It was not very fun, but very pretty.
Here is the Birthday Cookie Bob made for me. Neither of us like cake very much, so we made two chocolate cookies covered in chocolate cream cheese frosting, sprinkled with M&Ms and chocolate chips. The candles make an A since we didn't think 28 candles would be safe.
It was delicious, but so rich that neither of us finished our pieces that night. Don't worry, I have made up for that this week. Last Saturday we found the paddle boats, but the pictures are on another SD card, so expect more soon.

Traversing the Width of Idaho...Twice!
So we planned one last grand vacation to Utah before the semester started and the snow set in. We went to Logan first to use our movie passes that we forgot we had and saw Harry Potter. Since I have the books memorized, I always pick out the things that are wrong or missing, but I really liked the movie. I am trying to get Bob to read the books so I don't have to explain all the things they left out. We are reading them together and just started The Prisoner of Azkaban, which I think is my favorite. So after the movie we headed up to Bear Lake for the weekend with my family. We went from one side of Idaho to the other that day. We had a great time with my family at my sister-in-laws cabin. Lots of boating, jet skiing, and food. Not so much swimming because the water is so high there is no beach and the ground was really yucky. Here are some pictures, mostly of the cute nieces and nephews that we get to play with and then send them away when they are grumpy, hungry, tired, or stinky.
On Sunday we had dinner with Josh, Calley, and Robert. It was great! I wished we could have seen more Logan people, but we were on a schedule. We spent the next two days with my parents until I got a call for a job interview. We decided not to pass up the chance, so after a quick stop in Draper we headed back up to Boise. After the interview, which I didn't get, we headed up to Island Park to meet Bob's family, covering more than the width of Idaho because the road was shaped like a U and we had to come almost back to Utah before north. I got another call for another interview, but decided to pass so that we could finish the vacation. We had tons of fun in Island Park. I had never been there so Bob and Uncle Brad showed me all the sights. Bob spent any free time out on the river, which is ok because he won't get another chance to fish until next summer. We saw waterfalls and Big Springs, rafted the river, and spent time hanging out, but all the wildlife kept well hidden. The nieces were thrilled to have a new person to entertain them, and I think I did it well. We stopped at Bear World on the way back to see some wildlife, pet some goats, and ride on the kiddie rides.
It was a great week, even if more than 24 hours were spent sitting in the car. We love our families and hope to move closer when Bob graduates.

More Updates
We have been in Boise for almost two months now and don't have much to show for it. Bob is working hard in class and only has two more weeks left. I have been doing a lot of sitting. We don't have enough books for me to be unemployed. It looks like I will be substituting this fall, unless there are some unexpected openings. Hopefully for only a year and then I will have some contacts in the schools. We are headed to Utah in a couple of weeks and then up to Island Park with the Lloyds. We are excited to be with family and hang out in nature. Here are some pictures from stuff we have done lately and not so lately.
Here is Bob graduated. Yay! It was also our anniversary and Mother's Day weekend so lots of celebrating and cake.
We have been to Utah twice already since we moved. For Father's Day we had a Mustache Bash with the Woods (I will try to find a picture) in honor of my dad who I have never seen without a mustache. We also had a nice time with the Lloyds. It is good to be with family.
While we were down for the 4th of July, we went and fed the ducks with Trini, Kahlan, and Zeb.Bob was off fishing for the 5th time that weekend. He caught one catfish and about 200 mosquito bites. We had front row seats to the Riverdale fireworks.
Since being in Idaho we have been trying out the local restaurants thanks to my sister and the Boise coupon book. Buy one get one free is great! We have visited the Old Idaho State Penitentiary. Bob was pretty excited because it was on Ghost Hunters. We saw all the buildings including the "hanging room". Last week we roamed the Farmer's Market and the State History Museum. Here is Cowboy Bob.
We will try to be better at being exciting and actually taking pictures of it in the future.

Our Arizona Adventure and Life Changes Pt. 1
Hello All!
It has been a rather long time since we sat down and wrote on our blog. Well five months later here we are and boy have we had some adventures. Our first Christmas as a married couple was very nice. We gave each other nice presents. Amber gave me a game and some shirts and would you know it? I gave Amber a game and some shirts! Anyways we were able to become more well acquainted with our our nieces and nephews. I have grown fond of all of them on both sides of the family! I only have pictures of two of them from Christmas little Zeb, son of my sister Anna and Kahlan, daughter of my sister Janna. Amber and I are holding them in this picture.
They are such very cute babies. We don't see Zeb very much, but we do know that he has a very cute personality and is quite the lovable little fellow. He reminds me of a friendly yet slightly mischievous elf. he is as good looking as his parents, especially his strapping father Stephen. Perhaps when he grows up he will exude the same potent masculine aura Stephen Beck does! We do see Kahlan fairly often, and feel that she is a very happy baby who reminds me of a cheerful cherub who has discovered the magic of life. I have a hard time refraining from pinching her cheeks whenever I see her!
Not much exciting happened in January or February. Amber worked full time from the middle of December until the middle of February for her partner who was on maternity leave. I made a few slight adjustments at work to make it more enjoyable and I went with my father in law to go ice fishing and got some cool pictures on Hyrum reservoir.
To explain, when we went it had rained the night before and melted the snow leaving a thin layer of water on the ice, so it appears my father in law is walking on water. I didn't catch anything that day :(
As you all know I am a Social Work Major and had applied to several graduate schools. We had been praying for awhile that I would be able to go to one that would be the best for us and our family. I had applied to The U of U, BYU, Arizona State, and Boise State. I had several issues with my U of U application, what with things getting lost, and other such nonsense. Even though these all got resolved, the U turned down my application in early February. It was discouraging. Luckily in early March, while calling to check on application, Boise State told me that I was accepted into their program. I was thrilled because their program only accepts 22 people a year into their advanced standing program. I was not admitted into the BYU program and the Boise State program seemed more in line with our needs then Arizona's (which I also was admitted into) so we realized late March that we would be going to Boise. As of today we are in the middle of getting ready to move. We will be looking for a place to live this coming Tuesday and Amber is in the middle of finding a teaching job. I start school early June so our schedule is definitely set for us!
On another note, Amber and I took a much needed vacation the first week of April down to Arizona to visit our family. I have a great aunt who lives down there, and Amber has two aunts. We spent most of our time hanging out with said relatives, but we did see a few cool things to show you all.
In this picture we see an ad for "ho made pies". While driving through central and southern Utah, we passed through dozens of "ten second towns". I saw this sign while approaching one of them. Now of course, being married I have no need to eat a pie made by a ho. I just found this sign so weird, but I wonder if it's an older sign where they just said things differently, and in reality the pies were made by someone who had nothing to do with wanton promiscuity.
One day we went to the Musical Instrument Museum. It was huge! At this museum, there are numerous displays on music in countries around the world. Each country had it's own display and guests are given headphones that automatically play the music at a display. It took us three hours to go through it. The top picture is a flute made from a human femur (my Aunt Rayda wants to have one of these made for her grandkids when she passes away). Amber is standing in front of an air guitar, and then there I am in front of a gong. I kid you all not, gongs are one of the biggest distractions/temptations one faces when touring a museum! I highly recommend visiting this museum if you are in the Phoenix area. We will be showing you more soon!
